Alex Skolnick is a musician, composer and improviser of a multitude of styles, particularly metal and jazz guitar. While a sixteen year old student of Joe Satriani, Alex joined Bay Area metal outfit Testament, bringing melody, harmony and technique unheard of in thrash metal at the time.
